Telecommuting is in! More than 4 million Americans work from home at least some of the time these days. The opportunity to have this flexibility is so important to employees, it has become a “norm” of sorts. So, today we wanted to share 2 beautiful home office space and how we can help you make yours a place you want to work!
First, you’ll need to think about what you’ll be doing in the space and what type of space and equipment you’ll need. You may just need a desk and computer or you may have a job that requires printers, multiple screens and any number of items.
Once you know how you’ll use the space, it’s so much easier to create a design plan that will work for you. Lots of people just think they can use the kitchen table or a corner nook in the bedroom but studies show we’re much more productive if we have a dedicated office space that we go to just like we would commuting. It also helps to close the door when the day is done! Work-life balance is one of the key reasons employers have become amenable to these “work from home” arrangements.
Next would be determining what style you’re interested in. Do you want a formal space or more fun, casual space? Then, of course, there are colors. Studies show colors really drive our moods and motivation which equates to optimal productivity!
